FRANKLIN COUNTY — Pennsylvania State Police say the 13-year-old brother of 9-year-old boy who died Wednesday morning in Waynesboro Borough was taken into custody and charged with homicide. According to police, Brayden Wright, who was identified in the criminal complaint as the 13-year-old, retrieved a 9mm handgun in the residence and fatally shot his younger brother in the head. FAA opens new probe into Boeing's inspections, records

WASHINGTON (TND) — Boeing, the planemaker, is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration after "required inspections" may have not been completed. The FAA confirmed to The National Desk on Monday it opened an investigation into Boeing's 787 Dreamliner planes. Boeing came forward and "informed" the FAA in April that it "may have not completed required inspections to confirm adequate bonding and grounding where the wings join the fuselage on certain 787 Dreamliner airplanes.

Philadelphia shooting suspect captured after high-speed chase on Pennsylvania Turnpike

A Philadelphia shooting suspect was apprehended on Sept. 21 on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bedford County. According to a probable-cause affidavit, 31-year-old Amir Rouse was arrested after a vehicle pursuit began around 12:30 a.m. near mile marker 188 on the turnpike. Rouse was wanted in connection to a Philadelphia shooting investigation. According to the affidavit, Rouse’s vehicle reached speeds of up to 130 mph during the pursuit before he crashed into a sign on the Breezewood Interchange.

Fire destroys family sawmill in Somerset County

ROCKWOOD, Pa. (WJAC) — "They just pretty much follow us," said LJ Bowers, while standing among the remains of his family's sawmill. On Saturday around 11 p.m., Bowers was driving around with friends when he saw smoke from the road. He said he immediately knew that the sawmill was on fire. Bower's Lumber Company has owned sawmills since the '40s, and Bowers says this isn't the first time one has gone up in flames.

Gov. Wolf fulfills commitment to raise minimum wage for PA workers

PA - (WOLF) — Today, Governor Tom Wolf announced that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will fulfill its commitment to raise the minimum wage for commonwealth employees to $15 per hour by January 31, 2022. An increase to $12 would directly benefit 765,000 Pennsylvania workers, or more than 13 percent of the employed population. An increase to $15 would directly benefit nearly 1.5 million workers, or 25 percent of Pennsylvania workers.
