Authorities say they stopped part of a theft ring that involved selling brand new appliances stolen from new construction homes in Florida.

Those homes were in five counties, and three men were arrested — accused of buying the appliances and reselling them in two makeshift showrooms: a house and a storage facility, in and around Tampa.

Detectives said one of the suspects had even been “publishing the stolen appliances for sale online.”

In the end, they recovered more than $100,000 worth of unsold stolen property.

Alberto Gomez Sardinas, 32, is charged with four counts of dealing in stolen property, unlawful use of two-way communications device, and dealing in stolen property by use of the internet.

Jose Hernandez O'Relly, 36, is charged with four counts of dealing in stolen property and grand theft.

Yansiel Consuegra, 24, is charged with dealing in stolen property.

Authorities said the investigation is still active. They’re trying to find out who provided the stolen appliances — from Hillsborough, Marion, Hernando, Manatee, and Sarasota counties — and more charges may be forthcoming.
