Many area learning centers are closing due to coronavirus concerns.

Any school-age Learning Lamp program that is held on-site will be closed for the next two weeks, officials say.

However, programs that operate outside of school facilities will remain open.

This includes The Learning Lamp’s child care and preschool programs on McKinley Avenue in Johnstown, near Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, as well as the Westmont, Jennerstown and Somerset child care programs.

A representative with Wonder Years Learning Center in Johnstown announced that they are also closing for two weeks due to staffing issues amid COVID-19 concerns.

On Saturday, many of the area head start and preschool programs announced that they would be closed until March 30.
