Early signing season underway; Penn Cambria pitcher picks Pitt

CRESSON -- The early signing season is underway for high school athletes ready to make the jump to college competition.

Penn Cambria standout pitcher Mason Ronan made his commitment to the Pittsburgh Panthers official Wednesday, signing a baseball scholarship.

Also Wednesday, the Penn State softball team picked up a pitcher from its own backyard. Punxsutawney senior Kylee Lingenfelter signed her national letter of intent during a ceremony at the high school.
